The initial version of the famous P-51 Mustang to go into USAAF service was the dedicated fighter-bomber variant, the A-36A Apache. This book describes and illustrates the design and development of this version of the most famous American WWII fighter plane. It chronicles the aeroplane in scale plans, photographs and drawings from WWII technical manuals, superb colour artwork of camouflage and markings, rare b+w archive photographs and colour photographs of the preserved examples.
